To prepare a delicious pizza, we will start with making the dough. In a large bowl, we combine 500 grams of flour with 7 grams of dry yeast, a teaspoon of salt, and a tablespoon of sugar. These dry ingredients will form the base of our dough. Then, we gradually add 300 milliliters of lukewarm water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. We mix with a spatula or with our hands until the dough starts to come together into a homogeneous mass. We continue to knead for about 10 minutes until the dough becomes elastic and smooth.

After we finish kneading, we cover the bowl with a clean towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes. It will increase in volume, becoming fluffy and airy. While the dough is rising, we prepare the tomato sauce. We chop 400 grams of fresh tomatoes into small cubes and put them in a pot over medium heat. We add salt, pepper, and a teaspoon of dried oregano to enhance the flavors. We let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes break down and the sauce becomes thicker. If you prefer, you can also use a quality tomato paste diluted with a little water to achieve a similar consistency.

Once the dough has risen, we transfer it to a floured surface and stretch it by hand to fit the pizza pan. We ensure an even thickness, leaving the edges slightly thicker to form the crust. After we have stretched the dough in the pan, we let it rise again for 30 minutes, covered with a towel.

After the dough has risen again, we pour the previously prepared tomato sauce over it, spreading it evenly with a spatula. This is the moment when imagination can take over. We add our desired toppings: slices of ham salami, sweet corn, slices of tomatoes and bell peppers, all contributing to a unique blend of flavors. Finally, we generously sprinkle grated cheese on top, which will melt and form a delicious crust during baking.

We preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius and place the pizza inside for about 15 minutes. When the edges are golden and the cheese has melted beautifully, we take the pizza out of the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing it. Now, all that’s left is to enjoy the aroma and taste of this delicious meal!
