Meat - Sugar and Cinnamon Buns by Carla K. - Recipia
For a hearty and tasty breakfast, the fluffy rolls recipe is definitely the perfect choice, whether you prefer them plain or accompanied by jam or chocolate. This recipe is simple and accessible, and the result will delight the whole family.

We start by sifting the flour into a large bowl. This step is essential as it removes impurities and aerates the flour, giving the rolls a fluffier texture. In the center of the flour, we add fresh yeast, sugar, and salt, gently mixing with a fork to combine the ingredients. It is important not to let the salt come into direct contact with the yeast, as it can inhibit its activity.

After the dry ingredients are well mixed, we pour in the warm milk and olive oil. It is essential that the milk is warm but not hot, to activate the yeast. We mix everything with a spatula or with our hands until we obtain a homogeneous and elastic dough. If you feel that the dough is too sticky, add a little extra oil to facilitate kneading. Once the dough is ready, we cover it with a clean towel and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in volume.

After the dough has risen, we prepare to divide it into portions of about 50 grams each. We form evenly round balls, which we arrange on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving enough space between them to allow for expansion during baking. We let the rolls rise again, covering them with a towel, until they double in volume once more.

Before baking, we brush the surface of the rolls with milk, and then sprinkle them with a mixture of cinnamon and brown sugar, which will add a sweet and aromatic taste. For a less sweet option, you can choose to sprinkle them with sesame seeds, giving them a rustic and crunchy appearance.

The rolls are baked at a medium temperature, about 180 degrees Celsius, for 15-20 minutes, or until they become golden brown. At this point, the entire house will be filled with the delicious aroma of freshly baked rolls. After baking, let them cool slightly, then enjoy them plain or with jam, chocolate, or even with a slice of cheese. I personally prepared a double batch, and one tray I made without cinnamon and sugar, just with sesame, to diversify breakfast. This recipe is definitely one of the family's favorites, bringing joy to every breakfast table!
