We start this delicious recipe by preparing the necessary ingredients. You will need: 500 g chicken breast, one medium onion, 200 g fresh or canned mushrooms, 200 ml cooking cream, 100 ml dry white wine, 50 g butter, salt and pepper to taste. Make sure you have all the ingredients at hand to make the cooking process more efficient and enjoyable.

In a large skillet, add the butter and wait for it to melt over medium heat. Once the butter is melted and starts to foam, add the finely chopped onion. Sauté the onion for a few minutes until it becomes translucent and starts to brown slightly. This will add a wonderful flavor to your dish. At this point, it’s time to add the slices of chicken breast to the skillet. Choose slices of even thickness for even cooking. Sauté the chicken breast over high heat, making sure to brown it evenly on both sides, about 4-5 minutes on each side.

After the chicken breast is nicely browned, remove it from the skillet and transfer it to a bowl. Cover it with a plate to keep it warm. In the same skillet, add the glass of dry white wine. Let it boil for a few minutes until the alcohol evaporates and the flavors concentrate. This will give a refined touch to the dish.

Once the wine has evaporated, add the cream and drained mushrooms. Mix well to combine the ingredients and obtain a creamy sauce. Then, reintroduce the chicken breast into the skillet, ensuring it is evenly coated with the delicious sauce. Let everything simmer on low heat for another 5-7 minutes, so the chicken breast absorbs the flavors of the sauce.

Now, your dish is almost ready! You can serve it with warm polenta, which will perfectly complement the rich taste of the sauce.
