*For the black layer:*
- 3 eggs
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon cocoa Dr. Oetker
- 1/2 packet baking powder with saffron Dr. Oetker
- 1-2 tablespoons water
- A pinch of salt

*For the cream:*
- 500 ml liquid whipped cream
- 1 packet gelatin Dr. Oetker (10 g)
- 1 packet marzipan Dr. Oetker (100 g)
- 250 g ripe strawberries

*For decoration:*
- Cake decoration stencils from Dr. Oetker
- 1 teaspoon cocoa Dr. Oetker
- 1 tablespoon green coconut
- 50 g colored candies

Preparing the layers

1. White layer: In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks with water and sugar for about 3 minutes until they become a fluffy mixture. Gradually add the flour mixed with baking powder, stirring carefully to avoid lumps.

2. Egg whites: In another bowl, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until they form a firm foam. Add half of this foam to the yolk mixture and incorporate it with a spatula, using a gentle folding motion. Repeat with the other half of the egg whites.

3. Baking the white layer: Pour the mixture into a cake pan lined with parchment paper and greased with a little butter. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the layer cool in the pan.

4. Black layer: Follow the same procedure as for the white layer, just add cocoa to the flour mixture. Bake it in the same way and let it cool.

Preparing the cream

1. Whip the cream: Make sure the cream is well chilled before whipping. Use a mixer to achieve a firm consistency.

2. Gelatin: Hydrate the gelatin according to the instructions on the packet. Once it has bloomed, incorporate it into the whipped cream, mixing gently.

3. Add the strawberries: Mash the strawberries and add them to the whipped cream along with the grated marzipan. Mix well to obtain a fluffy and homogeneous cream.

Assembling the cake

1. Cutting the layers: When the layers have completely cooled, use a bowl to cut a circle from each layer. The center of the white layer will be placed on the black layer and vice versa.

2. Soaking the layers: Prepare a syrup from 200 ml of water and 5 tablespoons of sugar. Boil them together, then let the syrup cool and add the rum essence. Soak both layers evenly.

3. Cream layer: Place the first layer on a serving platter and spread 1/3 of the cream on top. Place the second layer, soak it, then add another 1/3 of the cream. Use the remaining cream to fill the gaps between the layers and to decorate the cake.

4. Decorating: Use the stencils to decorate the cake with cocoa and coconut. Add colored candies for an extra touch of cheer.

5. Cooling the cake: Let the cake chill, preferably from evening until morning, to allow the cream to set and the flavors to meld.

Useful tips:
- Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for better integration.
- You can use any other seasonal fruit instead of strawberries, such as raspberries or peaches, to vary the flavor.
- If you want a moister cake, you can add a little syrup to each layer of cream.

Nutritional benefits:
The cake contains protein from eggs and milk, while strawberries provide vitamin C and antioxidants, contributing to a balanced diet. Although it is a dessert, consumed in moderation, it can be part of a healthy lifestyle.
