The chicken, polished and carefully cut into pieces, forms the savory base of this delicious recipe. In a deep skillet, we heat a few tablespoons of oil until it becomes hot. Here, we will brown the meat on all sides, so that an appetizing crust forms to seal in its juiciness. Once the chicken has taken on a golden color, we add finely chopped onion and diced bell pepper. The flavors will gradually blend, and the onion will become translucent, releasing its natural sweetness. We must not forget to add bay leaves, salt, and, if desired, a spicy note that will give the dish a special flavor.

After a few minutes of sautéing, we sprinkle in the paprika and pepper, stirring constantly to avoid burning the spices. This is the moment when the rich aroma of the dish begins to reveal itself. Carefully, we pour in enough warm water to cover the meat and let it simmer on low heat until the chicken becomes tender and well-cooked.

Meanwhile, we dedicate ourselves to preparing the dumplings. In a bowl, we beat the eggs with a pinch of salt, then gradually start adding flour, mixing until we obtain a homogeneous composition with a consistency similar to cream. This will be the airy and fluffy base of our dumplings.

Once the meat is cooked, we take a spoonful of the hot sauce and dip it in. This way, the dumpling mixture will be easy to handle. With the spoon, we take a little of the dumpling mixture and add it to the pot with the meat. The dumplings will cook quickly, in about 3 minutes, filling the dish with a fluffy texture and delicious taste.

Finally, we take care of the sour cream. We mix the sour cream with three tablespoons of flour and a few tablespoons of water, obtaining a creamy paste. This is carefully poured over the dish, being stirred gently to integrate all the ingredients. We let the dish simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors, and at the end, we add finely chopped parsley, which will bring an extra freshness and color.
