My favorites, the cookies that remind me of the days spent at home, were always a treat I bought from the pastry shop. Now, I have decided to prepare them in my own kitchen, and the result is simply delicious! The first step in making these cookies is to ensure that the butter is soft, at room temperature. Then, in a generous bowl, we will mix the butter with powdered sugar. It is essential that the sugar completely melts into the butter to achieve a fine and homogeneous texture.

After we have obtained a fluffy cream, we add the eggs, one by one, making sure to incorporate them well into the mixture after each addition. This step is important to allow the eggs to contribute to the aeration of the dough. We continue by adding vanilla essence, which will bring a tempting fragrance specific to our cookies. Finally, we gradually add the sifted flour so that we can control the consistency of the dough, which should be soft but not too sticky.

After we have obtained the dough, we use a teaspoon that we fill halfway to shape equal portions. We place these portions on a tray lined with baking paper, taking care to leave space between them, as they will rise in the oven. We preheat the oven to 170 °C and bake the cookies for about 10 minutes, until they become slightly golden and fluffy.

After we take them out of the oven, it is important to let them cool completely. This is the stage where we prepare to fill them with raspberry jam, which is my favorite. However, any slightly sour jam will do a good job, adding a sweet-sour contrast.

For decoration, we melt chocolate with a little milk using the microwave. It is recommended to stir occasionally to prevent the chocolate from burning. After the chocolate has melted and is homogeneous, we transfer the mixture into a piping bag, which will allow us to decorate the cookies delicately.

After we have decorated the cookies with the melted chocolate, we let them harden, then we put them in the fridge to cool completely. These cookies are absolutely delicious, especially alongside a cup of coffee, and will certainly bring smiles to the faces of our loved ones. Enjoy every bite and savor the aroma of nostalgia!
