Fruit nectar

Beverages - Fruit nectar by Aurelia I. - Recipia

Fruit nectar is served in glasses, usually cold, and stays thick, with pulp. Apples, pears, peaches, white grapes and plums come together in a sweet-and-sour blend with pieces of fruit. I prefer to keep the pulp visible and use three bunches of grapes and a mint leaf for decoration. Prep: 45 minutes. Cook: 0 minutes. Total time: 45 minutes. Servings: 20. Approximately 132 kcal and 2.9 g protein per serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg red apples
  • 1 kg ripe pears
  • 1 kg peaches
  • 1 kg white grapes
  • 1 kg plums
  • 1 mint leaf

Preparation

1. Wash the apples, pears, peaches and plums, peel them and remove the pits or cores. Take the grapes off the bunches, saving three bunches for decoration. Cut the fruit into pieces that will fit in the food chopper. Time: 25 minutes. 2. Put the mixed fruit in the Delimano Chopper and chop in batches, following the appliance instructions, until you have a pulpy mixture with no large pieces. Pour each portion into glasses and continue until all the fruit is used. Time: 20 minutes. 3. Decorate with the three bunches of grapes and the mint leaf.

Notes

It goes well at breakfast with toast. Very ripe pears go through the chopper more easily, while firm ones can leave little pieces, so choose pears that feel soft to the touch. For a smoother blend, use a blender; a small chopper needs to be filled in batches. You can replace the white grapes with the same amount of black grapes. Keep the nectar in a sealed container in the fridge and use it within 3 days.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use nectarines instead of peaches?

Yes, replace the peaches gram for gram and remove the pits before chopping.

Can I use green apples?

Yes, you can replace up to half the amount of red apples with green apples, that is, 500 g.

Why are large pieces left after chopping?

Do not fill the chopper bowl more than halfway, and process batches of about 200 g so there is room to chop the fruit.
