Diverse - Vegetable Chips by Eva A. - Recipia
Because during the summer vacation I visited my godmother, I decided to prepare some delicious and healthy chips that I want to share with you. Who doesn't love store-bought chips? However, today I will show you a simple and healthy recipe that can be made together with children, and they will have a great time in the cooking process. Depending on your preferences, you can use various vegetables, such as potatoes, beets, carrots, or zucchini. Making the chips is easier than you think!

I cooked this recipe alongside a friend who is also my cousin, and my godmother, who is a specialized cook. Let's start with the beet chips. You will need 2 pieces of beet, olive oil, and spices like oregano, thyme, and basil. If you wish, you can add salt, pepper, or parmesan for extra flavor.

Start by peeling the beet, then slice it as thinly as possible. Once you have the slices ready, grease a baking tray with olive oil and lay the beet slices in the tray. Drizzle them with olive oil and sprinkle your desired spices. Mix well so that all slices are evenly coated. Have you ever wondered how raw beet tastes? It's time to find out! Place the tray in a preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake for 30-35 minutes.

Now let's move on to the potato chips. You need 1 kg of potatoes (ideally, you should use organic potatoes; I picked mine from the garden). Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly, just like the beets. Again, grease a baking tray with oil and lay the potato slices. Drizzle them with oil and sprinkle your favorite spices. Mix well to ensure each slice is coated and place the tray in the oven at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

If you prefer sweet chips, use sweet potatoes and season them with cinnamon. Regardless of the vegetables you choose, the method of preparation remains the same. These chips are not only delicious but also healthy, providing a perfect alternative to store-bought snacks. Enjoy your meal!
