Maxy's Chocolate Chips Cookies
To prepare these delicious chocolate cookies, we will start by ensuring that all the ingredients are at hand and that we have a clean and well-organized workspace. The first step is essential, so we prepare patiently. We take 200 grams of soft butter, which has been left at room temperature to soften, and place it in a large bowl. We add 150 grams of granulated sugar and begin to cream the mixture using a spatula or an electric mixer. We want to achieve a fluffy and creamy texture, and the sugar should completely dissolve in the butter.
Once we have the desired consistency, we will start gradually incorporating 250 grams of flour. It is important to add the flour in small amounts, mixing well after each addition, to avoid lumps. After all the flour is well incorporated, we turn our attention to the chocolate. We take 150 grams of dark or milk chocolate, which we chop into small pieces. This will add a delicious texture and rich flavor to our cookies. We add the chocolate pieces to the dough and mix carefully to distribute them evenly.
The dough will have a crumbly appearance, which is perfect. Now, using a teaspoon, we take small portions of the dough and roll them into balls between our palms. We ensure that each ball is approximately the same size to ensure they bake evenly. We place the dough balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving spaces between them as they will spread during baking.
After placing all the balls on the tray, we gently flatten them with the back of a fork to achieve a nice shape. At this point, we can preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit), so it is ready to receive the cookies. Once the oven has reached the desired temperature, we place the tray inside and let the cookies bake for about 15 minutes. It is important to monitor them, as each oven bakes differently.
When the cookies turn golden at the edges, we remove them from the oven and let them cool on the tray for 2 minutes to firm up a bit. Then, using a spatula, we transfer the cookies to a serving platter. To give them an even more attractive look and taste, we dust them with powdered sugar before serving. These chocolate cookies are ideal to be enjoyed alongside a cup of tea or coffee, being perfect for a quick snack or to impress guests at a party. Preparing them will surely bring smiles to everyone's faces!
