To prepare this delicious sausage sandwich recipe, we start by activating the yeast. In a small bowl, we dissolve the yeast with a teaspoon of sugar, gently stirring to help activate the yeast. We let the mixture sit for a few minutes until it becomes frothy. In another container, we add the warm milk. It is important that the milk is warm, not hot, so as not to kill the yeast.

Over the milk, sift the flour, making sure there are no lumps. Add the salt and mix the dry ingredients well. After the yeast has activated, we gradually add it to our milk and flour mixture. We begin to knead the dough, adding a tablespoon of oil at the end. Kneading is essential to develop the gluten in the flour, which will give a fluffy texture to the sandwiches. Once we have obtained an elastic dough, we form it into a ball and place it in a lightly oiled bowl. We cover the bowl with a clean towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about an hour or until it doubles in volume.

Meanwhile, we take care of the sausages. We boil the sausages in boiling water for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked. After boiling, we remove them and take off the casing, letting them cool slightly. Then, we prepare the grill of the sandwich maker, greasing the surface with butter to prevent the dough from sticking.

Once the dough has risen, we take a quarter of it and roll it out on the sandwich maker's grill, forming an even sheet. We place the sausages cut in half lengthwise on the dough surface. From another quarter of the dough, we roll out another sheet that we carefully place over the sausages, making sure to seal the edges well to prevent leaks during baking.

We close the sandwich maker and plug it in. The baking time varies, but we can check if the sandwich is ready when the green light on the machine turns on. In the meantime, we can prepare a ketchup or mustard sauce to accompany the sandwiches.

After we have made two delicious sandwiches, we can cut them in half and serve them warm, admiring the golden crust and hearing the crunch with every bite. These sausage sandwiches are perfect for a quick snack, a hearty lunch, or even for a party with friends. Enjoy your meal!
