To prepare a delicious and filling salad, we start by taking care of the potatoes that will form its base. The potatoes are boiled in their skins in a pot of well-salted water. It is important to choose medium-sized potatoes to ensure even cooking. After about 20-30 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes, they are ready. We check if they are cooked by simply piercing them with a fork. If it goes in easily, we take them out of the water and let them cool slightly.

When the potatoes are still warm, we peel them using a knife or simply with our hands, being careful not to burn ourselves. Once peeled, we cut them into small cubes or, to achieve a finer texture, we grate them. This choice depends on everyone's preferences, but it is recommended to achieve a consistency that easily combines with the other ingredients.

The carrot, another essential ingredient, is peeled with a peeler or a knife, then cut as finely or grated as well, to add a sweet note and vibrant color to the salad. It is important that the carrot is fresh to retain its natural sweetness.

In parallel, we prepare the eggs, boiling them until hard, which takes about 10-12 minutes. After boiling, we take them out of the water and let them cool slightly before peeling. Once peeled, the eggs are cut in half, and the yolks are mashed with a fork until they become a fine paste.

To complete the salad, the cow cheese is grated, adding a salty and creamy note to the dish. Now, we are ready to assemble the salad. In a large bowl, we place a generous layer of finely chopped potatoes. Over these, we drain the canned tuna, being careful to remove the excess oil. The tuna is flaked with a fork and added over the potatoes, followed by the grated carrot and the grated cheese.

The final layer consists of the mashed yolks, which will add a creamy texture and delicious taste. As a garnish, we sprinkle finely chopped green onion slices, which not only add a pleasant look but also a fresh and slightly spicy aroma. This salad is perfect to be served at a festive meal or as a side dish at a barbecue, being not only tasty but also full of nutrients. Enjoy!
