Tuna Spaghetti Recipe - A Quick and Satisfying Delight

If you're looking for a quick and delicious recipe, tuna spaghetti is the perfect choice! This simple yet flavorful dish is ideal for those days when time is limited but hunger is not. In just 30 minutes, you can have a tasty meal on the table, perfect for the whole family. Let's get started!

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Total time: 30 minutes
Number of servings: 4

### Ingredients:
- 400 g spaghetti
- 1 can of tuna in oil (approximately 200 g)
- 400 g tomato sauce
- 100 ml water
- 2-3 cloves of garlic
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1-2 tablespoons fresh or dried basil
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Grated cheese (Parmesan or cheddar)

### Instructions:

1. Preparing the ingredients: Start by finely chopping the onion and peeling the garlic. It's important to use a fresh onion, which will add sweetness to your sauce. If you have fresh basil on hand, it will enhance the flavor of the dish.

2. The tomato sauce: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until it becomes translucent. Then add the sliced garlic and cook for another minute, being careful not to burn it.

3. Add the tomato sauce: Pour the tomato sauce and water into the skillet. Stir well, then add the sugar, which will help balance the acidity of the tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Allow the sauce to simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. This is when the flavors will combine and intensify.

4. The tuna: While the sauce is simmering, drain the tuna from the oil and add it to the sauce along with the basil. Mix well and let it simmer for another 2-3 boils, so the tuna warms up and integrates into the sauce.

5. Cooking the spaghetti: In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add salt. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions (usually between 8-12 minutes). If you prefer softer spaghetti, you can leave it a little longer. Once done, drain well and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.

6. Serving: Divide the spaghetti onto plates and pour the tuna sauce on top. Generously sprinkle grated cheese, either Parmesan or cheddar, for added flavor. You can also add some fresh basil leaves for an attractive presentation.

### Useful tips:
- For a spicy version, add some chili flakes to the sauce.
- If you don't have tuna in oil, you can use tuna in water, but make sure to add a bit more olive oil to compensate.
- This recipe is very versatile; you can replace the tuna with salmon or sardines for a different culinary experience.
- For a more intense flavor, you can add some green or black olives to the sauce.

Enjoy this simple and quick tuna spaghetti recipe! It's perfect for a family dinner or to impress guests. Bon appétit!
