To prepare a delicious pizza, we start by making a bread-like dough, which will be the perfect base for our toppings. In a large bowl, flour, the main ingredient, is added, and then the dry yeast is incorporated. It is essential that the yeast is well mixed with the flour to ensure even rising. Then, salt and sugar are added, which contribute not only to the taste but also to the final texture of the dough.

After the dry ingredients are well mixed, warm water is gradually added. It is important that the water is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast without affecting its vitality. Olive oil is then poured into the mixture, adding extra flavor and a nicer appearance to the dough. Kneading begins, an essential process that helps develop gluten and gives the dough that elastic texture. Kneading lasts about 10-15 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.

Once the dough is kneaded, it is placed in a bowl greased with a little olive oil, covered with a clean towel. It is left to rise for 1 hour in a warm place, where the yeast will begin to work its magic. After this period, the dough should double in volume.

After it has risen, the dough is turned out onto a floured work surface and rolled out with a rolling pin. The rolled-out dough is carefully placed in a previously greased baking dish or casserole with olive oil to prevent sticking. It is left to rise again for 30 minutes, during which the oven is preheated to 220 degrees Celsius.

In the meantime, the tomatoes are prepared, which will add a fresh taste and vibrant color to the pizza. The tomatoes are sliced thinly and carefully placed on the dough, pressing them lightly to integrate into it. After adding the tomatoes, the dish is placed in the oven for the first 10 minutes of baking.

After 10 minutes, the dish is removed from the oven and sautéed onions are sprinkled on top, adding extra flavor. 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil are added to intensify the flavors and give a glossy appearance. The dish is placed back in the oven and left to bake until the edges of the pizza become golden and crispy, and the inviting aroma spreads throughout the kitchen.

This pizza, with a perfect dough and delicious toppings, will surely be a real treat for family and friends. Enjoy each slice!
