Fresh mushrooms are a wonderful ingredient, rich in flavors and nutrients, that can transform any dish into a delicacy. We start by carefully washing the mushrooms under a stream of cold water, ensuring that we remove any impurities and remaining soil. After washing, we let them drain in a colander to eliminate excess water, so it does not affect our composition.

In a spacious pan, we add a generous amount of oil and sauté the finely chopped onion over medium heat. The onion will become transparent and soft, releasing its flavors and providing a delicious base for our filling. Once the onion has softened, we add the finely chopped mushrooms, mixing well to combine the ingredients. We let the mushrooms cook for 4-5 minutes until they begin to brown slightly and release their juice, intensifying the flavor of the dish.

Once the mushrooms are ready, we add the sour cream, which will provide a creamy taste and rich texture to the filling. We season with salt and pepper to taste, homogenize the mixture, and let it simmer on low heat for another 1-2 minutes so that the flavors blend perfectly. This filling is now ready to be used.

Next, we take care of the dough. We take the thawed dough and cut it in half lengthwise. On each strip of dough, in the center, we carefully spread the mushroom filling, which should be cold for easy handling. We brush the edges of the strips with a beaten egg to help seal them. We then wrap the dough, ensuring that the filling is well enclosed inside. To better seal the edges, we use a serrated roller or a fork, pressing down firmly on the edges.

After we have finished preparing all the strips, we cut them into 9 pieces each, thus obtaining small and appealing portions. We place the pieces on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving a little space between them for even baking. We brush each piece with egg to achieve a golden and appetizing crust during baking.

Then, we place the tray in the preheated oven at medium heat, letting them bake for about 25-30 minutes. You will notice how the delicious aroma of mushrooms and onions will spread throughout the kitchen, and the crust will become crispy and golden. Finally, remove the tray from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. These little bites of delight will surely be appreciated by everyone who tastes them!
