Chicken with Coconut Milk
To prepare a delicious and healthy dish, we start by cleaning the vegetables and the apple. First, we wash the onion, garlic, carrot, and apple well under a stream of cold water to remove any impurities. Once we have cleaned them, we cut them into small cubes so that they cook evenly and integrate perfectly into our dish.
Once the vegetables are ready, we take care of the meat. We wash the chicken pieces under cold water, then cut them into cubes similar in size to the vegetables. This will ensure even cooking and a pleasant texture.
In a deep pan, we heat a few tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. When the oil is hot, we add the chopped onion and garlic, letting them soften and become translucent. The aromas will start to release, bringing an inviting smell to the kitchen. After a few minutes, we add the chopped carrot and let everything cook on low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
When the carrot starts to soften, we add the chicken cubes. We let them brown slightly, stirring to cook evenly. Then, we add the chopped apple, which will give a sweet taste and an interesting aroma to the dish.
Now it's time to season the food. We sprinkle salt, pepper, and other favorite spices, such as paprika or herbs, to enhance the flavors. After mixing all the ingredients well, we pour the milk on top. The milk will add a special creaminess to the sauce, transforming the dish into a true delicacy.
We let it simmer on low heat, covering the pan with a lid, for about 25-30 minutes or until the sauce thickens and all the ingredients are well infused. Finally, we finely chop the fresh parsley and sprinkle it on top of the dish, adding a touch of freshness.
We serve this delicacy alongside fluffy rice, couscous, or rice pasta, which will perfectly complement the taste of the food. Each serving will be an explosion of flavors and textures that will delight your taste buds. Enjoy your meal!
