To prepare the most delicious rolls, start by gathering all the necessary ingredients. You will need butter, milk, water, sugar, salt, flour, and yeast. Make sure everything is at room temperature to achieve the best results. Start by melting the butter, being careful not to let it boil, then let it cool slightly.

In a container, combine the warm milk with warm water, adding sugar and salt. Mix well to dissolve the ingredients, then add the melted butter. In another bowl, sift the flour to eliminate any lumps and introduce air into the mixture. Finally, add the dry yeast, making sure to distribute it evenly. If you opt for fresh yeast, rub it with the sugar until it turns into a paste, then dissolve it in a little warm milk from the total amount.

If you are using a bread machine, select the dough program. If not, continue with the traditional method: pour the yeast mixture over the flour, add the melted butter, and start kneading. Gradually add the warm milk and water until the dough becomes elastic and easily pulls away from the bowl and hands. Finally, incorporate the salt and continue kneading for about 10 minutes.

After obtaining a homogeneous dough, shape it into a ball and place it in a bowl greased with a little oil. Cover it with a clean towel and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in volume. Once the dough has risen, turn it out onto a floured work surface and portion it into equal pieces, depending on the desired size of the rolls. Shape each piece into a ball and place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Each roll should be deeply scored in the middle with a sharp blade, then cover them and let them rise again for 20 minutes. Before placing them in the oven, gently brush them with a little milk and sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds on top. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake the rolls for 25-35 minutes or until they are golden and well browned.

Remove the rolls from the tray and let them rest for 10 minutes, covered with a cloth towel to retain moisture. Serve them warm, alongside butter or various fillings, and enjoy their fluffy aroma and texture, perfect for any meal!
