Sheets: In a large bowl, we put the oil and sugar. We mix well until the sugar starts to dissolve, obtaining a homogeneous and slightly frothy composition. This is the base from which we will create tender and fragrant sheets. Then, we gradually add water, continuing to mix to integrate all the ingredients. We sift the flour directly into the bowl with the dry ingredients, along with the baking powder and salt, to avoid lumps and achieve a fine texture. We start adding the flour, mixing constantly, until a hard dough forms that is not sticky. It is essential not to overload the dough with flour, so we stop when we notice it becomes homogeneous and malleable. We divide the dough into two equal pieces, ensuring they are the same size to obtain uniform sheets. We roll out the first piece using a rolling pin until we get a thin sheet the size of a baking tray. We grease the tray with a little oil and then sprinkle flour to prevent sticking. We carefully place the first sheet in the tray, ensuring it lays evenly. We will use the other sheet later, after we complete the apple filling.

Filling: In a saucepan, we put the canned apples and sugar. We heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, to allow the sugar to melt and combine with the apple juice. We let the mixture cook for about 10 minutes until the apples become slightly soft and the flavors blend. At the end, we add cinnamon, which will provide a warm and comforting note to our filling. Over the first sheet in the tray, we spread the warm filling, smoothing it out evenly to ensure a balanced distribution of flavors. Then, we roll out and place the second sheet, which we pierce with a fork in several places to allow steam to escape during baking. We bake the pie in the preheated oven at a moderate temperature for 35-40 minutes or until the dough turns golden and brown.
