To prepare this culinary delight, we start by preparing the essential ingredients. Boil the potatoes in their skins, choosing medium-sized potatoes, which will add consistency and flavor to the dish. Once they are well boiled, carefully peel them and slice them into thin rounds, ensuring they are uniform for even baking.

In parallel, prepare the cauliflower by breaking it into small florets. Place the florets in a pot of boiling water, adding a teaspoon of salt to enhance the flavor. Let it boil for about 15 minutes until tender but not overly soft. After boiling, drain the cauliflower well and let it cool slightly.

In a frying pan, add oil and heat it over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until it becomes golden and translucent. Then, add the Prague ham, cut into cubes or thin strips. Let the mixture fry for a few minutes to release the delicious flavors of the ham and combine the tastes with the onion.

Now we are ready to assemble the dish. Take a heat-resistant dish and grease it with oil, then line it with breadcrumbs, making sure to cover the edges as well. Place a first layer of sliced potatoes, sprinkling them with salt, pepper, and paprika to add flavor. Follow with a generous layer of the boiled cauliflower mixture, onion, and sautéed Prague ham, seasoning it to taste.

In a separate bowl, lightly beat the eggs and add the flour, mixing well to avoid lumps. Then incorporate the sour cream and half of the grated cheese, mixing everything until you obtain a homogeneous composition. Pour this mixture evenly over the layers in the prepared dish, and finally, sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and place the dish inside. Allow the dish to bake for 20-25 minutes or until a nicely browned crust forms on the surface. The aroma that will fill the kitchen during this time is simply irresistible.

After removing it from the oven, let the dish cool slightly before slicing. This dish can be served both warm and cold, being perfect for a festive meal or a family dinner. Enjoy every bite, savoring the delicious combination of potatoes, cauliflower, and Prague ham!
