Pork Meatballs
Meatballs are a delicious and versatile option, perfect for a family Sunday meal or to be taken as leftovers to work the next day. Preparing them is simple, but the final result is always impressive and full of flavor. Start by gathering the necessary ingredients, ensuring you have quality ground meat, preferably pork or beef, but you can also opt for a combination of both.
In a large bowl, place the ground meat and add the beaten eggs, which will help bind the mixture. Minced or grated garlic brings an unmistakable aroma, while finely chopped green onion leaves will provide a fresh taste. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and other spices you like, such as paprika or cumin. Grated potatoes and carrots will not only enrich the flavor of the meatballs but will also add a touch of moisture, making them fluffier.
After you have well combined all the ingredients, wet your hands with water and form small balls, making sure they are not too large for even cooking. Roll each ball in flour, which will create a golden and crispy crust during frying. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the meatballs until they become brown and crispy on the outside but soft and juicy on the inside. It is important not to overcrowd the pan to allow the meatballs to fry evenly.
Meanwhile, prepare the vegetable mix. Boil in water with a little salt, adding a bit of oil and 25g of butter for a richer taste. You can choose your favorite vegetables - carrots, peas, green beans, or zucchini - and adapt them according to the season. Once the meatballs are ready, remove them onto a paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
Serve the meatballs hot, alongside the steamed vegetable mix and slices of fresh homemade bread, which will perfectly complement this dish. Enjoy your meal! If you like my recipes, I invite you to explore other delicious dishes on my blog, where you will find plenty of inspiration for your meals.
