Vanilla Soufflé
Hey! After thinking, twisting, and researching 100 times about the delicate soufflé, I finally gathered the courage to make the wonder. And guess what, it worked out perfectly the first time, it rose beautifully and was tasty too. So I thought I would share this simple Vanilla Soufflé recipe with you, which is not only delicious but also very easy to make.
Preparation method: We start by preparing the ceramic dishes, known as ramekins. These are greased with butter, ensuring it is evenly distributed, then coated with sugar so that the soufflé gets a golden and crispy crust on the outside. Now, let’s take care of the base of the soufflé. Melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed pot, being careful not to let it burn. Once the butter has melted, add the flour and stir constantly to ensure the ingredients are well combined.
After obtaining a smooth paste, remove from heat and gradually add the warm milk. It is important to stir continuously to avoid lumps. Bring the pot back to heat and let the mixture come to a boil, at which point it should thicken. Once we reach the desired consistency, remove from heat again and add the salt and vanilla essence, which will give the soufflé an irresistible flavor.
Separately, we take care of the eggs. Separate the egg whites from the yolks, and gradually add each yolk to the prepared soufflé mixture, mixing well after each addition. After finishing with the yolks, transfer the mixture to a larger bowl. In another container, beat the egg whites until frothy, then gradually add the sugar, continuing to mix until we achieve a firm and glossy meringue.
Now, carefully fold the beaten egg whites into the soufflé mixture, gently mixing with a spatula to avoid losing the air in the egg whites. When everything is well combined, pour the mixture into the previously prepared ceramic dishes. Now, the soufflé is ready to be baked! We place it in the preheated oven at 200 degrees and let it bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the soufflé is well risen and golden on top. For me, it took exactly 13 minutes!
After taking it out of the oven, it is essential to serve the soufflé warm, immediately after baking, to enjoy its fluffy texture. We sprinkle a little powdered sugar on top for an extra touch of sweetness and flavor. It is a true delicacy that will surely impress anyone who tastes it. Enjoy your meal!
