Surprise Appetizer from Peppers
To prepare a savory and appetizing delicacy, we will start by carefully combining the main ingredients. In a medium-sized bowl, add 200 grams of grated cheese, 2-3 crushed garlic cloves, 150 grams of mayonnaise, and salt to taste. Using a spatula or a hand mixer, mix these ingredients until you achieve a smooth and creamy paste. It is important that the garlic is well distributed in the mixture so that each bite offers that unmistakable flavor.
Meanwhile, prepare the peppers. Choose a few bell peppers, preferably of various colors (red, yellow, or green), to add a pleasant and attractive look to the dish. Wash them under a stream of cold water and dry them with a kitchen towel. Cut a small cap off the top of each pepper and, using a spoon or a knife, remove the stem and seeds from inside. This step is essential to ensure an even filling and to avoid a bitter taste.
Once the peppers are clean, fill them with the previously prepared cheese cream, being careful to fill them only halfway. Then, carefully insert a boiled egg that you prepared earlier (about 8-10 minutes in boiling water) into each pepper. Gently press the egg to secure it, then completely cover it with the remaining cheese cream. This will prevent the egg from moving and will provide a nice appearance when sliced.
Place the stuffed peppers in an airtight container and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. This resting time will allow the flavors to combine and will ensure a firmer texture, making it easier to cut later. When you are ready to serve, take the peppers out of the fridge and slice them into pieces about 2-3 centimeters thick. These delicious slices can be served as an appetizer at a festive meal or simply as a healthy snack between meals. Each bite will be an explosion of flavors, combining the creaminess of the cheese with the intense aromas of garlic and the freshness of the pepper, along with the consistency of the boiled egg. Enjoy your meal!
