Pasta with cheese, herbs, and sour cream crust
To prepare this delicious cheese and greens pasta recipe, we start by gathering the necessary ingredients and utensils. First, we choose a large pot, fill it with water, and add a pinch of salt. We bring the water to a boil over medium heat, being careful not to stray too far, as we want to add the pasta when the water is boiling well.
Once the water has started boiling, we add the pasta and let it cook for 8-10 minutes, according to the package instructions, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. When al dente, we drain it well, but keep a cup of the water it boiled in, to use later if necessary.
Meanwhile, we prepare the delicious filling. In a large bowl, we combine the cottage cheese with the cream cheese, gradually adding the 3 eggs, stirring constantly to achieve a smooth mixture. To this base, we season with salt and pepper to taste. Then, we turn our attention to the greens. We wash the green onions under cold running water, peel them, and slice them into fine rounds. The dill is also washed, and the stems are removed before being finely chopped. All the fresh greens are incorporated into the cheese mixture, and then we add the cooked pasta, stirring gently to evenly distribute the ingredients.
We prepare a ceramic dish, greasing it with a little oil to prevent sticking. We line the bottom with baking paper for easy cleanup after baking. We pour the pasta and cheese mixture into the dish, leveling it with a spatula to create an even surface. In another bowl, we beat the remaining two eggs with a pinch of salt until frothy and airy, then add the sour cream, continuing to mix.
We carefully pour this fine mixture over the pasta in the dish, ensuring that we cover the entire surface evenly. We preheat the oven to medium temperature, then place the dish with pasta and cheese inside. We bake until we achieve a golden and appetizing crust, about 30-40 minutes, being careful not to burn it.
