To prepare a delicious pizza with a bread crust, start by preparing the essential ingredients. Begin by soaking an older loaf of bread in warm water. Letting it sit for a few minutes to absorb moisture will make it soft and easy to handle. After soaking, remove the bread from the water and carefully squeeze it well in your hands to eliminate excess water. This step is crucial, as a crust that is too wet will not have the desired consistency. Once the bread is well squeezed, crumble it into small pieces and place it in a large bowl.

Add a fresh egg, salt, and pepper to taste over the crumbled bread, then mix all the ingredients with a spatula or with your hands until you achieve a homogeneous mixture. This mixture will form the base of your pizza crusts. Then, take a springform pan with a diameter of 21 cm, or a round baking tray, grease it with a little sunflower oil to prevent sticking, and sprinkle a little flour on the bottom. Now, pour the bread mixture into the pan, smoothing the surface well.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and place the pizza base tray inside. Bake for 20 minutes or until the crust becomes golden and firm. In the meantime, take the opportunity to prepare the sauce. In a bowl, mix tomato sauce with a tablespoon of olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and parsley. This combination will give a fresh and aromatic taste to your dish.

After the pizza base has been baked, remove the tray from the oven and spread the previously prepared tomato sauce over it. Make sure the sauce is evenly distributed across the entire surface. Then, slice the mozzarella into thin pieces and carefully place them over the sauce. For an extra flavor boost, add a few tablespoons of grated parmesan on top of the mozzarella. Return the tray to the oven for a few minutes, until the mozzarella starts to melt and form small golden bubbles.
