This is a different kind of vegetable sauté, a recipe that transforms simple ingredients into a special dish, perfect for a hearty meal. I added eggs to make the main dish more substantial and flavorful, ideal for the whole family.

Start by preparing the vegetables. Slice the potatoes and carrots into thin rounds, ensuring the sizes are uniform for even cooking. Place them in a pot along with fresh or frozen peas, adding enough water to cover them. Simmer the vegetables on low heat for about 20 minutes. Once they start to soften, add half a teaspoon of vegetable Delikat and salt to taste. These will add a special flavor to your dish.

When the vegetables are nearly cooked, turn off the heat and drain the water, but do not complete! Keep a small amount of water to avoid drying out the dish. In this mixture, add a few pieces of butter that will melt and enrich the flavor of the sauté. It’s time to add fresh thyme and bay leaves, which will provide an intense aroma and irresistible fragrance.

To integrate the eggs into this dish, use a spoon to make 4 spaces in the vegetable mixture. In each of these spaces, carefully crack an egg. These eggs will bake alongside the vegetables, adding extra flavor and consistency. After adding the eggs, cover everything with a generous layer of grated cheese, which will form a golden and delicious crust during baking.

Place the tray in the preheated oven at a moderate temperature and let the sauté bake for about 15 minutes. You will notice that the eggs will set nicely and the cheese will melt, giving an appetizing look to your dish.

Once the sauté is ready, take it out of the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve it warm, alongside a spoonful of sour cream, which will add a creamy note and balance the flavors.
