Trout with Vegetables, Baked
To prepare a delicious baked fish recipe with vegetables, we start by preparing the ingredients. Slice half a lemon thinly, and squeeze the other half to obtain fresh juice. This will add a note of freshness and acidity to the dish. Choose fresh fish, cleaned and washed, then season with salt and pepper to taste. It is important to do this evenly to ensure a pleasant flavor.
Insert a slice of lemon and a sprig of thyme inside each fish. The aroma of thyme will perfectly complement the taste of the fish, adding an extra layer of flavor. Next, clean the necessary vegetables: onion, bell peppers, carrots, and green onions. Cut the onion in half, the peppers into strips, and the carrots into rounds. Uniformly cutting the vegetables will ensure even cooking.
In a large bowl, combine all the chopped vegetables along with the peas. Drizzle this mixture with a few tablespoons of olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and mix well to homogenize the flavors. Make sure all the vegetables are well coated with oil and spices, so they are delicious after cooking.
The next step is to prepare the baking tray. Grease it with a little oil, then add the vegetable mixture and pour in enough water to help cook them. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and place the tray inside. Let the vegetables bake for about 20 minutes, until they start to soften.
After this stage, remove the tray from the oven and carefully place the fish on top of the vegetables. Add the remaining lemon slices, and then drizzle everything with fresh lemon juice. This will intensify the flavors and provide a wonderful taste to the dish. Put the tray back in the oven and let it bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until the fish is well cooked.
For serving, place one fish on each plate, on a bed of colorful and aromatic vegetables, adding a few lemon slices for an appealing look. This recipe is not only easy to make but also full of nutrients, bringing a healthy and tasty dish to the table. Enjoy it warm, with your loved ones!
