To prepare a delicious chicken recipe with vegetables and dumplings, start by preparing the meat. Sear the pieces of meat over the stove flame to give them a special flavor. After cleaning them well, wash them and cut the thighs in half, separating the drumsticks from the upper part. If you want a quick method, you can use a pressure cooker and boil the meat for 30 minutes; otherwise, you can opt for a regular pot, boiling the meat for about an hour or more until it softens.

In the meantime, clean the onion and chop it finely. The carrot should be peeled and cut into suitable pieces, and the peppers should be cleaned of stems and seeds, then diced. In a large pot, heat the oil and add the chopped onion along with sweet and hot paprika. Sauté them for 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent. Now add the half-cooked chicken pieces and lightly brown them, stirring occasionally.

After the meat has browned, add the peppers and carrot and let them cook for 2-3 minutes to release their flavors. Pour in the broth in which you boiled the chicken and add water until the meat is covered. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. Cover the pot with a lid and let it simmer over medium heat. After about 15 minutes, chop the peeled tomatoes and add them to the pot, mixing well.

To prepare the dumplings, in a small bowl, beat the eggs with a little salt and pepper until you get a foam. Then add the white flour, mixing until you achieve a homogeneous composition without lumps. When the meat and vegetables are well cooked, and the broth has reduced, lower the heat. Take a teaspoon of the hot broth from the pot and use it to form dumplings from the prepared mixture. It is important to dip the teaspoon in the hot broth each time you add a dumpling to avoid sticking.

Let the dumplings boil for 8-10 minutes over medium heat, then add the tomato paste. Allow everything to boil a few times, then reduce the heat and incorporate the sour cream, stirring gently. Let the dish cook for a few more seconds, then remove the pot from the stove. Sprinkle chopped green parsley on top and serve the dish hot to enjoy the unmistakable flavors. Enjoy your meal!
