- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 30 g butter
- 1 pinch of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of cappuccino powder
For the cream:
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 packets of vanilla pudding
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 70 g cappuccino-flavored chocolate
- 1 teaspoon of cappuccino
- 600 ml milk
- 30 g butter
For the syrup:
- 3-4 tablespoons of strong coffee
- 300 ml water
For decoration:
- Nuts (ground or whole)
- Cinnamon sticks
- Coconut
- Cocoa or any other preferred ingredients
### Instructions
Step 1: Preparing the base
1. Start by making a bain-marie: place a pot of water on low heat and set another pot on top to melt the chocolate and butter. Stir occasionally until everything is melted.
2. In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with the sugar using a mixer until the mixture becomes creamy and light in color.
3. Once the chocolate has melted, let it cool slightly, then gradually add it to the egg yolk mixture, stirring constantly.
4. In another bowl, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the egg whites into the egg yolk mixture using a spatula to retain the air in the mixture.
5. Sift the flour, baking powder, and cappuccino powder over the egg mixture and gently fold them in.
6. Pour the mixture into a baking pan lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes. Check with a toothpick to see if it's done.
Step 2: Preparing the cream
1. In another bowl, combine the egg yolks with the sugar and the two packets of vanilla pudding. Gradually add the milk, stirring continuously.
2. Pour the mixture into a pot and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens.
3. Once the pudding is ready, add the cappuccino-flavored chocolate and butter, mixing well until completely melted. Let it cool.
Step 3: Preparing the syrup
1. In a pot, combine the water with the strong coffee and bring to a boil. Let it simmer for a few minutes, then let it cool.
Step 4: Assembling the cake
1. Once the base has cooled, cut it into two or three layers, depending on your preference.
2. Soak each layer with the coffee syrup, then add a generous layer of cream.
3. Repeat the process until all layers are finished.
Step 5: Decorating the cake
For an attractive look, decorate the cake with ground nuts, cinnamon sticks, coconut, or cocoa. You can experiment with various decorations to give it a personal touch.
