Chicken breast and pork neck skewers with Chinese rice
Preparation of rice: In a large pot, add 4 large cups of water, a tablespoon of oil, and a teaspoon of salt. These ingredients are essential for giving flavor to the rice and preventing the grains from sticking together. Once the water starts to boil, add the rice and reduce the heat to low, letting it simmer slowly. It is important for the rice to absorb all the water to achieve a perfect texture. After the water has completely evaporated, let the rice cool. Once it is completely cool, with hands dampened in water, separate the rice grains so they are no longer stuck together. This step is crucial for achieving fluffy and airy rice. In a large frying pan, heat 3 tablespoons of oil. Here, add the finely chopped onion, diced bacon, and the cooked rice one by one. Stir continuously with a wooden spoon, ensuring all ingredients are evenly fried. When the rice and other ingredients have taken on a golden color, add the peas and mix well to combine with the rice. Next, make a hole in the middle of the mixture and add the beaten eggs. These will mix with the rice until they are cooked, adding extra flavor. Finally, add soy sauce and pepper to taste, mix well, and remove from heat. The dish is now ready to be enjoyed.
Preparation of skewers: Start by cutting all the ingredients into equal-sized cubes. This includes bell peppers, mushrooms, chicken meat, onion, and garlic, as well as bacon and pork neck. After cutting all the ingredients, mix them in a plastic bowl with oil, salt, and pepper, making sure each piece is well coated. Then, begin to assemble them on the skewers, alternating the ingredients to create a play of colors and textures. A suggestive method is to use the following order: a piece of bell pepper, a mushroom, a piece of chicken, an onion, a clove of garlic, a slice of bacon, and then repeat with a mushroom, onion, pork neck, garlic, chicken, and finally, a piece of bell pepper. This arrangement not only enhances the appearance of the skewers but also allows for even cooking. After preparing all the skewers, preheat the oven and place them in a tray. Place them in the preheated oven at medium heat for about 25 minutes, checking occasionally to ensure they are cooked evenly. Finally, when the skewers are browned and delicious, they are ready to be served. I sincerely hope this recipe will delight you as much as it delighted me!
