Meat - Bread with milk II by Paulina E. - Recipia
To make a delicious and fluffy bread, it is essential to carefully prepare all the ingredients. Start by letting the flour sit at room temperature the night before, allowing it to reveal its full flavor and texture. This step may seem simple, but it is crucial for obtaining a high-quality bread.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. Make sure the butter doesn’t burn but melts evenly, and once it has completely dissolved, let it cool. In a separate bowl, begin whisking the eggs with a whisk, making sure to incorporate them well.

Add the freshly sifted flour, dry yeast, sugar, oil, and salt to the bowl with the eggs. Mix the dry ingredients with the wet ones, then gradually pour in the warm milk. Use your hands to mix everything until you obtain a homogeneous dough. Place the dough on a lightly floured work surface and knead it for about 10 minutes. This step is essential for gluten development, which will give the bread a fluffy texture.

Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a large bowl that you have previously brushed with oil. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, which you have greased with a little oil to prevent sticking. Let the dough rise for 1 hour and 30 minutes in a warm place, away from drafts. After it has puffed up, place it back on the work surface and knead it gently before dividing it into 8 equal parts.

Cover the dough with a towel and let it rest for 10 minutes. Using a lightly floured rolling pin, roll each portion of dough into a rectangle with a thickness of 0.5 cm. After this, brush each rectangle with melted butter, saving any remaining butter for later to brush the baked bread. Stack two rectangles together and roll them up along the long side, creating 4 rolls.

Trim the ends of the rolls, and then cut each roll into 4 triangles. Prepare a tall pot by greasing it with oil and lining it with flour. Place one end of a roll in the center of the pot and the other rolls around it, filling in with the dough triangles. Cover the pot with plastic wrap and let it rise for an hour.

Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. When the dough is ready, brush it with egg yolk to give it a beautiful golden color. Bake the bread for about 40 minutes, until it becomes nicely browned. After baking, remove the pot from the oven and brush the bread with the remaining butter for extra flavor. Let the bread cool on a rack and enjoy the final result, a fluffy and delicious bread, perfect for any meal.
