Heart-shaped Pasta with Tomato Sauce
To prepare the delicious heart-shaped treats, we start by gathering all the necessary ingredients. Make sure you have flour, water, broth, sugar, bay leaves, garlic, and of course, oil to grease the tray. In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients, such as flour and sugar, with a whisk or spatula. Gradually add water, stirring constantly, until you obtain a homogeneous but slightly denser mixture. It is important that the texture is suitable for shaping later.
Once you have a uniform dough, grease a large tray with oil to prevent the heart-shaped treats from sticking to its surface. Carefully pour the mixture into the tray, ensuring it spreads evenly. Place the tray in a preheated oven at 230 degrees Celsius and let it bake for 40 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the sauce that will accompany the heart-shaped treats. In a pot, add the broth and bring it to a boil. In another container, mix the flour with water to form a paste that will thicken the sauce.
When the broth starts to boil, carefully add the flour and water mixture, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Add the bay leaves and let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes. Finally, don’t forget to add the finely chopped garlic and a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor. This sauce will perfectly complement the taste of the heart-shaped treats.
Once the mixture in the oven is ready, take the tray out and let it cool slightly. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the heart-shaped treats from the resulting cake. Arrange them on a platter, and if you wish, you can decorate them with a little broth sauce on top for an attractive appearance. Serve them warm or at room temperature, alongside the flavorful sauce you prepared. These heart-shaped treats are perfect to enjoy with loved ones. Enjoy your meal!
