Chicken Skewers
To create an unforgettable culinary experience, we will prepare a delicious recipe for chicken skewers with mushrooms and vegetables, accompanied by a fresh salad and dill-flavored potatoes. We will start by preparing the sauce that will give a special touch to the meat, and then we will continue with marinating the chicken.
The first step is to gather the necessary ingredients for the sauce. We take a mix of fresh vegetables, such as onion, bell pepper, garlic, and parsley. These are washed well under a stream of cold water and placed on a wooden board. Using a sharp knife, the vegetables should be chopped as finely as possible to allow the flavors to combine evenly. After we finish chopping, we add salt to taste and olive oil, mixing the composition well. Subsequently, we pour in the soy sauce, which will add an intense umami note. We mix again until we obtain a homogeneous paste, which we set aside to develop its flavors.
Now we take care of the chicken breast. The chicken slices are washed under cold water and cut into strips about 1.5 cm wide. These are set aside. The next ingredient is the mushrooms, which are cleaned and washed well, preparing them for marination. We use a sturdy plastic bag, into which we place the chicken strips. Over these, we pour the marinade prepared earlier, sealing the bag well. We start shaking it gently, so the meat absorbs all the flavors. After we finish, we open the bag and add the mushrooms, sealing it again and shaking it to cover them evenly. We leave everything in the refrigerator, ideally overnight, but at least for a few hours.
The next day, we take the chicken and mushrooms out of the refrigerator and prepare to form the skewers. We take wooden or metal skewers and start assembling the ingredients. The onion is washed and cut into quarters, and the bell pepper is cleaned and cut into suitable pieces. On each stick, we alternate strips of chicken with mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper, creating colorful and appetizing combinations.
The skewers are grilled, where the heat will transform them into a succulent delicacy with a golden crust. While they are cooking, we take care of the side dish. The potatoes, peeled and cut like for mashed potatoes, are boiled in salted water. After they are cooked, we drain them well and transfer them to a pan with a little oil. We add chopped dill on top and stir over heat for a minute until the oil is absorbed by the potatoes, and the flavors combine perfectly.
We serve the skewers hot, alongside a fresh salad and flavored potatoes, to create a delicious meal full of colors and aromas that delight the senses. This recipe is not just a simple meal, but a culinary experience that combines flavors with the joy of cooking. Enjoy your meal!
