Tender Cookies - A Sweet and Quick Indulgence

These tender cookies are a perfect choice for a quick dessert, ideal for any occasion. With a fluffy texture and indescribable taste, these cookies are easy and quick to make. I will guide you step by step on how to make them and achieve a perfect result, and in the end, you will have a dessert that will impress anyone!

Preparation time: 20 minutes
Baking time: 10-12 minutes
Total time: 30-35 minutes
Number of servings: 20-25 cookies

Ingredients:

- 250 g butter (or margarine), at room temperature
- 125 g sugar
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
- 1 egg
- 3 egg yolks
- 250 g flour
- 150 g cornstarch
- 150 g cooking chocolate (white or dark) for decoration
- 2 teaspoons of oil (optional, to make the chocolate more fluid)

Preparing the Dough:

1. Start by preparing all the ingredients, ensuring that the butter is soft but not melted. This is a crucial step to achieve tender cookies.
2. In a large bowl, add the butter and mix it at high speed until creamy. Gradually adding the sugar and vanilla sugar is essential for achieving a homogeneous mixture.
3. Continue mixing and add the whole egg and yolks, one at a time, at 30-second intervals. This step will help aerate the dough, giving it a light texture.
4. In another bowl, mix the flour with the cornstarch. These ingredients will add fragility to your cookies. Gradually incorporate the flour mixture into the butter mixture, gently folding with a spatula to avoid losing air.

Shaping the Cookies:

5. Transfer the dough into a piping bag with a star tip. If you don't have a good piping bag, you can use a plastic bag with a cut corner to shape the cookies.
6. Place a sheet of baking paper on a tray and shape wreaths or any other shapes you desire, leaving a small space between them as they will spread while baking.

Baking:

7. Preheat the oven: 200°C for an electric oven, 180°C for a hot air oven, or gas mark 3-4. It is important to adhere to these temperatures to achieve perfectly baked cookies.
8. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, but be mindful of their color. The cookies are ready when the edges are slightly golden, but the center is still soft. Let them cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a rack to cool completely.

Decorating:

9. To decorate, melt the cooking chocolate in a bowl placed over a double boiler, adding the 2 teaspoons of oil for a smoother texture. Once the chocolate is completely melted, dip each cookie in chocolate, letting the excess drip off.
10. Place the decorated cookies on a sheet of baking paper to let the chocolate harden.

Serving and Variations:

These tender cookies are best served alongside a cup of coffee or flavored tea. You can experiment by adding chopped nuts or coconut flakes to the dough for a distinct touch. You can also replace the chocolate with caramel glaze for a surprising taste.

These tender cookies are not only simple but also a true delight for the taste buds. Try this easy and quick recipe and enjoy the delicious result!
