To prepare a delicious recipe for toast with mushrooms and creamy sauce, we will start by melting 30 grams of butter in a pan. The butter will add a rich flavor and a smooth taste to our dish. Once the butter has completely melted, we will add the slices of bread, which we will toast until they become golden and crispy on both sides. This step is essential to achieve a delicious base that will support our flavorful sauce.

In the meantime, we will take care of the vegetables. We peel an onion, which we will wash well and then chop very finely. The onion will bring an extra flavor and sweetness to our dish. After we have chopped the onion, we turn our attention to the mushrooms. We wash the mushrooms under a stream of cold water to remove impurities, then chop them into small pieces to integrate perfectly into the sauce.

In another pan, we put the chopped onion together with the melted butter and let the mixture cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the onion becomes translucent and soft. This will take about 5-7 minutes. Then, we add the chopped mushrooms and mix well, so all the ingredients combine. We let the mushrooms cook in their juice and butter, stirring occasionally, until the liquid has almost completely evaporated.

Once the mushrooms have taken on a golden color and an intense flavor, we add a cup of vegetable or chicken broth, along with 200 grams of sour cream. We mix again and let it simmer on low heat until the sauce reduces and thickens, about 10-15 minutes. At this point, we add 50 milliliters of brandy, which will add a note of refinement and depth to our sauce. We let it simmer for a few more minutes, then season with salt and pepper to taste.

For presentation, we arrange the slices of toasted bread on a flat platter, and generously pour the creamy mushroom sauce on top. It is recommended to serve the dish alongside a fresh green salad, which will provide a pleasant contrast. This recipe is not only tasty but also easy to prepare, making it perfect for a savory lunch or an elegant dinner. Enjoy your meal!
