To prepare a delicious and healthy meal, we start by cleaning the chosen fish, whether it is perch, trout, or even salmon. We carefully cut off the fins and intestines, then wash the fish under a stream of cold water, making sure to remove any impurities. After cleaning, we dry the fish with a paper towel to ensure that the spices will stick well to the meat.

It's time to season the fish. We use salt, freshly ground pepper, and herbs such as thyme or oregano to give it a special flavor. If you wish, you can also add thin slices of lemon both inside the fish and on top for an extra touch of freshness. After seasoning, we wrap the fish in aluminum foil to keep the juiciness and flavors during cooking.

If you prefer a more rustic approach, you can cook the fish directly on the grill. Make sure the grill is well heated and grease the surface with a little oil to prevent sticking. We place the fish on the grill and carefully turn it over on both sides, being careful not to leave it on the fire too long, as it cooks quickly. Usually, a few minutes on each side is enough, and a good way to check if it’s done is to look at the meat: it should be opaque and easily come off the bone.

In the meantime, we take care of the side dish. We boil the potatoes in water with a little seasoning to give them a better taste. Once they are boiled, we drain them and mix them with a small piece of butter, which will melt quickly and coat the potatoes in a creamy texture. Finally, we add a little dill or freshly chopped parsley, thus providing a contrast of flavor and color.

Serve the fish alongside the flavored potatoes, and for an extra touch of flavor, feel free to add a fresh vegetable salad. This combination is not only tasty but also healthy, perfect for a summer meal or a family dinner. Enjoy your meal!
