To prepare this delicious recipe, start by preparing the filling. Choose your favorite ingredients, such as cheese, vegetables, or meat, and mix them in a large bowl. Make sure the ingredients are well combined, and season to taste, so you achieve a flavorful and savory composition. Once the filling is ready, let the puff pastry dough thaw completely, so it is easy to handle.

After the dough has thawed, use a sharp knife or a pastry cutter to cut the dough into rectangular strips measuring 25 x 10 cm. These strips will form the base for the pastries you will create. Divide the filling evenly so that each strip has its portion of filling, and place it in the middle of each strip, lengthwise.

To ensure a good seal of the strips, use a brush dipped in water and run it around the edges of the dough. This step is essential to prevent the pastries from opening during baking. After applying water, fold the edges of the dough over the filling and press them well to seal, while leaving small holes at equal distances to allow steam to escape during baking.

Once you have formed the rolls, join the ends of each strip to give them a round shape, resembling pastries. Carefully place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving enough space between each for expansion during baking. Using a beaten egg, brush the surface of the pastries with yolk to achieve a golden and appetizing crust. In the holes left, alternately add olives, diced red pepper, and broccoli florets for a colorful appearance and delicious aroma.

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Place the tray in the oven and bake the pastries at high heat for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 180 degrees Celsius for the next 15 minutes. Baking should be closely monitored, and the pastries are ready when the dough turns nicely browned and crispy. After removing them from the oven, let them cool on a rack to maintain their crispy texture.
