Bread with Carrot and Zucchini
To prepare a delicious recipe for carrot and zucchini rolls, we will start with the necessary ingredients and detailed steps to achieve a perfect result. Make sure you have all the ingredients at hand: 300 ml of lukewarm milk, 1 medium carrot, and 1 small zucchini, 50 g of butter, 500 g of flour, 50 g of sugar, 25 g of fresh yeast, 1 teaspoon of salt, and a little oil for greasing.
The first step is to mix the lukewarm milk with the salt. Add the finely grated carrot and the grated zucchini, ensuring they are well incorporated into the liquid. This mixture will add moisture and flavor to your rolls. The next step is to melt the butter; this will add a soft texture and rich taste. Once the butter has melted, pour it into the milk and vegetable mixture, mixing well to combine the ingredients.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour with the sugar and yeast. It is important to ensure that the yeast is evenly distributed in the flour so that it ensures an even rising of the dough. Pour the liquid mixture over the dry ingredients and start kneading. The dough should not be very hard, but rather supple and slightly elastic. After kneading well, let the dough rise in a warm place for about an hour, covered with a damp towel.
Once the dough has risen, remove it to a lightly floured work surface. Work it gently to remove air and make it more homogeneous. Roll it out with oiled hands until you achieve a thickness of about 1 cm. Use a sharp knife or a pizza cutter to cut the dough into slices. From each slice, form small round rolls, placing them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Sprinkle a little flour on each roll for a rustic look and to prevent sticking. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and place the tray with the rolls in the hot oven. Bake them until they become golden brown, this process may take between 15 and 20 minutes, depending on the oven.
After removing them from the oven, cover them with a clean towel for a few minutes. This step will help retain moisture and make the rolls fluffier. Let them cool slightly before serving. You can enjoy these rolls both plain and with various fillings or accompanied by cheese, butter, or olives. Enjoy your meal!
