To prepare a delicious dish of stuffed chicken thighs, we will start by carefully separating the skin from the chicken thighs. This step is essential to create a space where we will introduce the savory filling that will give a special taste to the final dish. Using our finger or the handle of a wooden spoon, we ensure that the skin remains intact, so that we do not lose the juiciness of the meat during frying.

Next, we dedicate ourselves to preparing the filling. We take a fresh zucchini, which we cut into small cubes. This will add a note of freshness and flavor to our dish. Then, we take cheese, preferably a cheese that can be easily grated on a large grater, and add it over the chopped zucchini. We season the mixture with salt, pepper, and a teaspoon of dried basil. If we want a more intense flavor, we can opt for fresh basil, which we will chop finely. With this aromatic mixture, we carefully fill the chicken thighs, taking care not to overfill them, as the skin may crack during frying. Once filled, we sew the skin with thread or secure it with toothpicks, ensuring that the filling remains well enclosed.

In a large frying pan, we heat 150 ml of oil and fry the stuffed thighs on both sides until they become golden and crispy. This step will not only add a pleasant texture but will also contribute to the development of flavors. After frying, we remove the thighs from the pan and set them aside.

In the same oil, we add the broth, which we season with salt, pepper, and basil, to intensify the flavors. After mixing well, we place the fried thighs back in the pan and add enough meat broth or water so that they are partially covered. We let everything simmer on low heat, making sure to taste from time to time and adjust the seasonings to our preferences.

Once the thighs are cooked and tender, we take care of the creamy sauce. Separately, we mix a tablespoon of flour with sour cream, gradually diluting it with the juice in which the thighs were cooked. After obtaining a homogeneous composition, we pour the sauce over the thighs and let it come to a final boil, so that the flavors blend.

This dish can be served alongside various side dishes, such as boiled potatoes, mashed potatoes, or pasta, each option contributing to a delicious culinary feast. So, get ready to surprise your family or friends with this delicious and easy-to-make recipe, which will surely become a favorite in your menu!
