To prepare a delicious dish based on potatoes and eggs, we start by choosing medium-sized potatoes that are suitable for boiling. We do not peel them, as the skin will help retain flavors and nutrients. Therefore, we place the potatoes in a large pot with salted water and boil them for about 30 minutes. It is important to check them with a fork to ensure they are well cooked, but not so much that they fall apart.

After the potatoes are boiled, we remove them from the water and let them cool slightly, then we cut them into evenly thick slices. This will ensure even baking and a pleasant texture. In the meantime, we take care of the eggs. We place the eggs in another pot with cold water, adding a teaspoon of salt to prevent the shells from cracking during boiling. We boil them for 5-6 minutes, then remove them and let them cool, after which we carefully peel them and cut them into round slices.

Now, we move on to preparing the breadcrumbs. In a pan, we add a piece of butter and let it melt over medium heat. Once the butter is completely melted, we add the breadcrumbs and stir constantly to brown them evenly for 2-3 minutes. The breadcrumbs will take on a golden hue and a delicious aroma, which will add flavor to our dish.

In the next step, we grease an oven-safe dish with a little butter to prevent sticking. We place the first half of the potatoes in the dish, followed by half of the boiled eggs, which we distribute evenly. We sprinkle salt and pepper to taste to enhance the flavors. We repeat this step with the other half of the potatoes and eggs, making sure to season again with salt and pepper.

To finish the dish, we pour the sour cream on top, smoothing it out well. Finally, we add the browned breadcrumbs over the sour cream, creating a golden and crispy crust. We preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and place the dish in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, until the surface becomes golden and appetizing.

We serve this dish hot, as a main course, alongside a fresh salad or as a side dish with roasted fish or meat. This simple yet flavorful recipe will bring a touch of comfort to every meal, being perfect for both a family dinner and more special occasions. Enjoy every bite!
