To prepare a delicious cake, we start by beating the butter with sugar and cocoa using a mixer, until we obtain a fine and homogeneous cream, which will provide a sweet and aromatic base for our dessert. It is essential that the butter is at room temperature to incorporate better with the other ingredients. Once we have obtained the cream, we add Bourbon vanilla sugar, which will enhance the flavor, and instant coffee (Nescafe), mixing them well until homogeneous.

Next, we take care of the biscuits. They will be quickly dipped in cold milk mixed with a teaspoon of rum essence. It is important not to leave them too long in the milk, but just to dip them quickly, to avoid becoming too soft. The prepared biscuits are arranged in a first layer on a platter, forming the base of the cake.

After placing the first layer of biscuits, we add a generous layer of cream. We continue this process, alternating between layers of biscuits and layers of cream, until we obtain a fairly tall cake. It is recommended to keep a small amount of cream, about one or two tablespoons, for the final decoration of the cake.

To complete the preparation, we whip the cream with a mixer until it becomes creamy and smooth. It is important not to whip it too much, as the cream will spoil and become grainy. Once the cream is ready, we cover the cake with the remaining cream, ensuring it is evenly distributed.

For an attractive appearance, we decorate the cake with ground walnuts, which add a crunchy texture and a special flavor. We can also add a few dollops of cream on top, to provide a color contrast and to attract the attention of those who will serve the dessert.

After finishing decorating the cake, we put it in the refrigerator, where it will stay for a few hours, or ideally overnight, to chill well and for the flavors to integrate perfectly. When it is time to serve, we carefully cut portions, admiring the delicious layers of biscuit and cream. This cake is perfect to be enjoyed with loved ones, and each slice will bring a smile to the faces of those who taste it. Enjoy your meal!
