Chicken Breast Roll
To prepare a delicious chicken breast roll, the first step is to finely grind the chicken breast using a meat grinder. This stage is essential, as a fine texture will help to homogenize the mixture. Once we have obtained the ground meat, we will focus on the vegetables. The bell pepper, carrot, and olives will be diced into small cubes, so they integrate perfectly into our mixture. These ingredients not only bring a special flavor but also a note of color and freshness to the roll.
After that, in a large bowl, we add the fresh eggs, which will help bind all the ingredients together. The grated cheese will add a pleasant creaminess, while the finely chopped green parsley will provide an aromatic taste and a note of freshness. Gelatin, added directly from the packet without being dissolved, will contribute to stabilizing the roll, ensuring that it retains its shape.
Once all the ingredients are added, we homogenize the mixture using a spatula or our hands, making sure that all components are well integrated. Now, we prepare to form the roll. We take a food-grade plastic wrap and place the obtained mixture, shaping it into a cylindrical form. It is important to roll tightly, making sure to seal the ends very well to prevent the filling from leaking during boiling. I prefer to make several smaller rolls, as they cook more evenly and are easier to serve.
After forming the rolls, we wrap them in aluminum foil, tying the ends with a string to ensure they don't come undone. Then, we place the rolls in a pot of cold water, which we bring to a boil. It is important to maintain moderate heat so that the rolls boil evenly for 20-25 minutes, starting from the moment the water boils.
After the boiling time, we remove the rolls from the water and carefully cut the ends of the foil. We place them on a slanted surface to drain excess water. Now, we keep only the rolls, discarding the used foil. Next, we wrap the rolls in clean plastic wrap and place them in the refrigerator, where they will stay until the next day. This resting time allows the flavors to develop and the rolls to firm up. When we are ready to serve, we slice the rolls into elegant pieces and place them on a bed of green lettuce leaves, providing an attractive and fresh appearance to our dish. This recipe is perfect for a festive meal or a gathering with friends, bringing a touch of refinement and flavor.
