Bread with Tomato
To prepare a delicious and flavorful snack, we start by choosing a quality bread, preferably a ciabatta or a baguette, which will provide a crispy texture and excellent taste. The slices of bread can be cut with a cookie cutter to create playful shapes or, if you prefer, you can leave them whole for a rustic look. Regardless of the choice made, ensure that the slices have an even thickness, so they cook uniformly and absorb the flavor of the ingredients.
After toasting the slices of bread in a pan with a little olive oil or on a grill, they will develop a golden and crispy crust. It is important to toast them on both sides to achieve the perfect texture. Once the bread slices are ready, take a clove of garlic and rub it vigorously on the warm surface of the bread. The intense aroma of garlic will penetrate the bread, giving it an unmistakable taste.
Next, wash the fresh tomatoes, preferably from juicy varieties such as Romanian or cherry tomatoes. Cut them in half, then gently press each half onto the toasted bread slices. This technique will allow the delicious juice of the tomato to be absorbed into the bread, turning each bite into an explosion of flavor. If you prefer, you can chop the tomatoes into small cubes, which will allow for an even distribution of flavor on each slice.
After the tomatoes have been applied, drizzle with high-quality olive oil, which will add an extra richness. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper, adjusting the amounts to your personal taste. This is the moment when you can also add other ingredients, such as feta cheese or olives, to enhance the flavor.
The final step is to add a few fresh leaves of finely chopped parsley, which will not only provide a pleasant appearance but also a note of freshness. Arrange the slices on a beautiful platter and enjoy them warm. This snack is perfect for a gathering with friends or as an appetizer for a dinner. Enjoy your meal!
