Beef salad
To prepare a delicious and flavorful salad, we start by peeling the potatoes and carrots. Choose medium-sized potatoes, preferably of the 'floury' type, which boil well and have a creamy texture. The carrots should be fresh, with a vibrant color, which will contribute to the final appearance of the dish. After peeling them, cut the potatoes and carrots into cubes of about 1-1.5 cm and place them in a large pot with cold water. Add salt to enhance the flavor and put the pot on medium heat. Meanwhile, prepare the turkey breast, which adds a note of healthy protein to this dish. Wash the breast and cut it into smaller pieces for more even cooking. Add the turkey breast to the pot with the vegetables and let everything boil for about 20-25 minutes, until the vegetables are tender and the meat is fully cooked.
After the ingredients have boiled, drain the water and let them cool slightly. In the meantime, prepare the mayonnaise. You can use store-bought mayonnaise or, for a more intense flavor, make it at home. Use 6 hard-boiled eggs, which you mash well, gradually adding sunflower oil, mixing until you obtain a creamy and homogeneous consistency. Add a little mustard for extra flavor and a splash of lemon juice to balance the taste.
Once all the ingredients have cooled, cut the cubes of potatoes, carrots, and turkey breast into small, uniform pieces. Also, peel a few cucumbers, which you will cut into small cubes. Add all the ingredients to a large bowl, mixing gently to avoid crushing the vegetables. Incorporate 3/4 of the prepared mayonnaise, stirring lightly to coat all the ingredients. Season the salad to taste, being careful not to overdo it, as the mayonnaise already contains salt.
For an attractive appearance, you can garnish the salad with the remaining mayonnaise, drizzling it on top, or adding a few slices of hard-boiled egg or green olives. Finally, serve the salad cold, as an appetizer or main dish, alongside fresh bread. This salad is not only tasty but also nutritious, perfect for family meals or special occasions. Enjoy every bite!
