Apple triangles
Fresh, juicy apples are the stars of this delicious recipe, which combines the crunchy texture of pastry sheets with the flavorful filling of sautéed apples. We start by peeling the apples, removing the skin and seeds, then finely grating them. This method allows the flavors to be released quickly during cooking. In a pan, we add the grated apples and sauté them over medium heat, making sure to stir constantly. After a few minutes, when the apples have begun to soften, we add the sugar, which will contribute to their caramelization, providing a sweet and pleasant taste.
Once the apples have been sautéed enough, we add the breadcrumbs, which will absorb the excess liquid and provide a pleasant texture to the filling. Another essential ingredient is cinnamon, which will add a warm and comforting aroma. Don't forget to add vanilla sugar for an extra touch of flavor. We mix all the ingredients well and let the mixture cool down so it can be easily handled.
While the filling cools, we take care of the pastry sheets. We take each sheet and brush it with oil, making sure it is evenly coated. Then, we fold each sheet into thirds, creating a perfect base to add the apple mixture. At the end of each strip, we place a spoonful of the apple mixture, and then carefully wrap it into a triangle shape. This way of wrapping not only looks good but also helps keep the filling inside during baking.
Once all the triangles are ready, we carefully place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, making sure to leave a little space between them to allow for expansion during baking. We preheat the oven to a medium temperature, then place the tray inside. We let them bake for about 20-30 minutes or until the sheets turn golden and crispy. The aroma that will spread in the kitchen will be simply irresistible. Once they are ready, we take them out of the oven and let them cool slightly before enjoying, possibly sprinkled with a little powdered sugar for an elegant touch. These apple triangles are perfect as a dessert or snack, being delicious both warm and cold.
