Diverse - Stuffed Zucchini with Meat by Manuela M. - Recipia
The zucchini is peeled, selecting the freshest and juiciest ones to create a tasty and appetizing dish. They are cut into pieces of 8-10 cm in length, depending on individual preferences, ensuring a uniform shape for even cooking. Once cut, they are hollowed out in the middle with a spoon to create a generous space for the delicious filling.

In a large bowl, a homogeneous mixture is prepared from minced meat (it can be pork, beef, or a combination, depending on taste), a fresh egg, finely chopped dill, washed and soaked rice, salt, and pepper to taste. This mixture will provide the zucchini with a rich and flavorful filling. It is important to mix the ingredients well to ensure an even distribution of spices and flavors.

Once the filling is ready, each piece of zucchini is generously filled with the meat mixture. A spoon or even hands can be used to ensure that the filling is well pressed inside the zucchini. On top of each stuffed zucchini, a thin slice of tomato is added, which will add a fresh note and a delicious taste to the dish.

For the sauce, a few ripe tomatoes are grated, which will form a juicy base in which the zucchinis will be cooked. The grated tomatoes are placed in a less deep pot, covering the bottom. It is essential that the sauce is sufficient to reach halfway up the height of the stuffed zucchinis, so they do not dry out during boiling.

After the zucchinis are carefully placed in the pot, they are covered with a lid and set to simmer on low heat. For about 40 minutes, the delicious aroma of the stuffed zucchinis will spread throughout the room. It is recommended to shake the pot occasionally to prevent the zucchinis from sticking to the bottom and to ensure even cooking.

Once the cooking time has expired, the stuffed zucchinis will be tender, full of flavor, and ready to serve. This dish can be enjoyed on its own or alongside a side of rice or potatoes, and the joy of the meal will be complemented by the fresh taste of the tomatoes and herbs used.
