Who hasn't heard of the famous dessert 'Snow White'? This multi-layered, rich and creamy cake reminds us of childhood and the moments spent with loved ones. It is a dessert that, although it may seem complex, is actually easy to make with a little patience and love. Let's start our culinary journey!

Ingredients

For the dough:
- 2 eggs
- 7 tablespoons of milk
- 7 tablespoons of oil
- 7 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 packet of baking ammonia
- Flour as needed (about 500g)

For the cream:
- 2 eggs
- 1 pack of Unirea margarine (250g)
- 1 liter of milk
- 8 tablespoons of flour
- 3 tablespoons of cocoa
- 1 cup of sugar (200g)
- Vanilla essence (to taste)
- Juice of half a lemon

Preparation

1. Preparing the dough

Start by preparing the dough. In a large bowl, beat the 2 eggs with 7 tablespoons of milk, 7 tablespoons of oil, and 7 tablespoons of sugar. Add the packet of baking ammonia (you can extinguish it with a little vinegar or lemon juice) and mix well.

Then, start incorporating the flour gradually. Add flour until the dough forms a homogeneous ball that no longer sticks to your fingers. It is important not to add too much flour at once, to avoid a dry dough. When the dough is ready, divide it into 3 equal balls.

2. Baking the sheets

Roll each ball of dough into a thin sheet using a rolling pin. Place the sheets on the bottom of a floured tray to prevent sticking. Bake each sheet in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 10 minutes. The sheet is ready when the edges become slightly browned. Continue with the other sheets.

3. Preparing the cream

In a saucepan, add the diced margarine, sugar, and the 2 eggs. Place on low heat and stir continuously until the margarine and sugar melt. Then, gradually add the 8 tablespoons of flour, mixing well to avoid lumps.

Once you have a uniform mixture, add the milk. It is normal for the cream to seem very fluid at first – keep stirring and you will see it begin to thicken. When you achieve a creamy consistency, add the vanilla essence and lemon juice, mixing again.

4. Assembling the cake

Start assembling the cake: place the first sheet of dough on a platter, add a generous layer of white cream. This will be the first layer. Continue with the second sheet of dough, and this time, add a cocoa cream (in which you can add 3 tablespoons of cocoa to the white cream, mixing well).

Finish with the last sheet of dough and a final portion of cream. Cover the cake with plastic wrap and let it press overnight in a cool place. This step is essential as it allows the layers to blend perfectly.

Chef's tip

If you want to add a touch of originality to your cake, you can use vanilla sugar instead of vanilla essence or add some chopped walnuts or almonds to the cocoa cream. Also, for an even more intense flavor, you can use melted chocolate instead of cocoa.
