Decadent Chocolate Muffins

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Baking time: 20-25 minutes
Total time: 40 minutes
Servings: 12 muffins

If you're looking for a simple and quick recipe to delight your taste buds, these chocolate muffins are the perfect choice. With a fluffy texture and an intense chocolate flavor, they are ideal for an indulgent breakfast or a delicious dessert.

Necessary ingredients:

- 2 large eggs
- 150 g sugar
- 200 g flour
- 1 packet (10 g) baking powder
- 50 g quality cocoa powder
- 1 packet (5 g) vanilla essence
- 120 ml milk
- 100 g butter, melted and cooled
- A pinch of salt
- Dark or milk chocolate, chopped (optional, for extra chocolate)

Let’s begin our culinary adventure!

Step 1: Preparing the ingredients
Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature, which will help achieve a uniform texture. Prepare all your ingredients on a work surface so you don’t waste time searching for them during the preparation process.

Step 2: Mixing the wet ingredients
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed. Continue mixing until the mixture becomes slightly frothy and light in color. Add the vanilla essence and milk, mixing well.

Step 3: Combining the dry ingredients
In another bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix the dry ingredients well with a spatula or whisk to avoid clumping.

Step 4: Unifying the mixture
Start gradually adding the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, mixing with a spatula. Finally, pour in the melted butter, ensuring it has cooled. If you want extra chocolate, add the chopped chocolate now.

Step 5: Preparing the trays
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a muffin tray with paper liners or grease it with a little butter and sprinkle flour. This step is essential to prevent the muffins from sticking.

Step 6: Baking the muffins
Fill the muffin cups with the prepared mixture, leaving about 1 cm space at the top to allow for expansion. Bake the muffins in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 7: Cooling and serving
Once the muffins are baked, let them cool in the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. These chocolate muffins are delicious served warm, with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream alongside. Share them with your friends and enjoy their compliments!

Personal suggestion: You can add chopped pecans or nuts to the muffin mixture for a crunchy texture. You can also use white cocoa or milk chocolate for a sweeter variant.

These chocolate muffins are not just a simple recipe, but also a quick dessert that will make you feel like a true chef in your own kitchen. Experiment and enjoy the flavor!
