Green Bean Food
We start this delicious Mediterranean-style green bean recipe by preparing the essential ingredients. In a larger pot, we bring water to a boil, adding a teaspoon of salt to enhance the flavor of the beans. We add the cleaned green beans, cut to the desired size, and let them boil for 15-20 minutes. This step is crucial to ensure that the beans will have a crunchy texture and pleasant taste.
Meanwhile, we focus on the onion. We peel a medium onion, chopping it finely so that it caramelizes evenly in the pan. Then, we take a clove of garlic, crushing it with a knife to release its intense flavors. In a deep pan, we heat olive oil over medium heat and add the onion and garlic. We sauté them together for a few minutes until the onion becomes translucent and starts to turn golden. This will add a flavorful base to our dish.
