Hawaiian Pizza and Roman Pizza
To prepare a delicious pizza, we start by making the dough. It is essential to knead it well to achieve a fluffy and crispy texture. We use a combination of wheat flour, warm water, yeast, salt, and a little olive oil. After mixing the ingredients, we let the dough rise in a warm place, covered with a clean towel, for about an hour, until it doubles in volume.
While the dough is rising, we can prepare the tomato sauce. This can be made from fresh tomatoes or a quality canned tomato. We add a teaspoon of dried rosemary, salt, pepper, and, if desired, a few fresh basil leaves to enhance the flavor. We simmer the sauce on low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
Once the dough has risen, we carefully roll it out on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. It is important to be careful not to thicken it too much in some areas to allow for even baking. We pour the tomato sauce over the dough, making sure to cover it evenly. Then, we dedicate ourselves to decorating the pizza. We start with slices of sweet and juicy pineapple, which add a pleasant contrast to the salty Prague ham, sliced thinly. Finally, we sprinkle pieces of mozzarella, which will melt and turn into a golden and appetizing crust.
After assembling the first pizza, we place it in the preheated oven at 220 degrees Celsius. The baking time varies depending on the oven, but generally, the pizza will be ready in about 30-40 minutes. It is important to check occasionally to ensure that the edges are nicely browned and the cheese melts perfectly.
For the second pizza, we repeat the steps, but we play with the toppings. We can choose mushrooms, olives, bell peppers, or even fresh arugula leaves added at the end. The chosen variant will depend on everyone's preferences, but each combination will bring a unique taste.
After taking the pizza out of the oven, we let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Enjoy each slice, savoring the combinations of flavors and textures. Bon appétit!
