Cocoa cake - (vegan)
To create a delicious and savory dessert, we will start by preparing all the necessary ingredients. Make sure you have everything at hand: flour, sugar, eggs, butter, baking powder, cocoa, and vanilla. We begin by preheating the oven to 180 degrees Celsius to ensure even baking.
In a large bowl, add the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa, and baking powder. Mix them well with a spatula to ensure there are no lumps. Once you have a homogeneous mixture, move on to the wet ingredients. In another bowl, beat the eggs with a mixer until they become frothy and double in volume. Add the melted butter, but not hot, and the vanilla essence. Continue mixing to well integrate all the ingredients.
Now, combine the two mixtures, that is, the dry ingredients with the wet ones. Use the mixer on low speed to avoid splattering, then gradually increase the speed. Mix until you obtain a homogeneous composition, without lumps. If you wish, you can also add nuts or chopped chocolate for extra flavor.
Prepare a baking tray, which you can line with baking paper or grease with butter and sprinkle with flour. Pour the batter into the tray, making sure it is evenly distributed. Now, it is time to put the tray in the preheated oven. Bake for 45-50 minutes, but don't forget to check from time to time with a toothpick; if it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
After the cake has cooled, you can prepare a cocoa glaze. In a bowl, mix cocoa with powdered sugar and gradually add hot water, stirring until you achieve a creamy consistency. Pour the glaze over the cake, allowing it to gently flow over the edges.
For an attractive appearance, decorate the cake with fresh fruits, toasted nuts, or chocolate flakes. Serving this dessert will turn any meal into a special moment, and its taste will delight every guest. Enjoy!
