Desert - Cake by the Meter by Amanda M. - Recipia
To create a delicious two-colored cake, we start by preparing the base. In a spacious bowl, we add the 8 egg yolks and pour 10 tablespoons of water over them. This step is essential for achieving a light and airy texture. We continue with 12 tablespoons of oil, which will give the cake a rich flavor and pleasant moisture. Then we add 2 packets of vanilla sugar, which will provide an enticing aroma, and the grated zest of one lemon for a touch of freshness. Finally, incorporate the 2 cups of sugar and use a mixer to mix everything well until the mixture becomes fluffy and a bright yellow.

In another bowl, we beat the egg whites until we achieve a firm foam. These will add air and volume to the cake. We start to gradually add the egg whites to the yolk mixture, mixing gently to avoid losing the aeration. Next, we incorporate the 2 cups of flour and the baking powder gradually, mixing lightly until everything is well homogenized. Once we have obtained a fine mixture, we divide the dough into two equal parts. In one of them, we add 2 tablespoons of cocoa, mixing until evenly combined.

We prepare two loaf pans by lining them with parchment paper and pour the mixtures in. We place them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius and bake until the tops are golden brown and a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean. After removing them from the oven, we let them cool completely, then slice them into approximately 1 cm thick pieces.

For the cream, we prepare two packets of pudding, each with 5 tablespoons of sugar (if desired, you can add more for a sweeter taste) and 1/2 liter of milk. We boil both puddings according to the instructions on the package, then let them cool. Once cooled, we add 125 grams of margarine to each pudding and mix well until we obtain a smooth and homogeneous cream.

For assembly, we take the cake slices and spread them with the obtained cream, alternating the white cake slices with the black cake slices until we finish all the slices. After creating this beautiful alternation, we cover the entire cake with chocolate glaze, which will add a decadent finish. We let the cake cool until the glaze sets well. When it's time to serve the cake, we cut it diagonally, revealing a landscape of colors and textures that will delight the eyes and taste buds of everyone. This cake is not just a dessert, but a true culinary masterpiece!
